DO I NEED A SOLAR REGULATOR OR SOLAR CONTROLLER WHEN USING A SOLAR PANEL TO CHARGE?

The battery pack is already integrated with a smart DCDC charger, therefore the PLB40 can be connected directly to a solar panel without NEED of regulator, considering the fact that the voltage from solar panel should be 8-25V DC and also the current should be limited up to 8A DC.
